Transforming workplaces with Ailuna sustainability programs
At Ailuna, we are passionate about making workplaces more eco-friendly through our customised sustainability programs. We understand that the success of these initiatives depends on clear, measurable goals known as Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
SOKRs is a framework we use at Ailuna, that aligns an organisation’s sustainability goals with measurable results. It helps to track and manage their sustainability efforts effectively, forecasting responsible and environmentally friendly practices.
In a recent case study, one of our clients wanted to encourage sustainable practices among their employees working from home. Ailuna’s content and product teams rose to the challenge by designing a unique sustainability program to foster sustainable habits at home and at work. For example, saving energy, conserving water, spending more time outdoors, and decluttering digitally.
“Work sustainably from home” is an example of such a program, based on a series of actions taken from Ailuna’s library of more than 60 readily available actions.
After the program concluded, we conducted a thorough analysis of the results. While the outcomes were generally positive, we also identified that not all key sustainability objectives were fully achieved. To gain deeper insights into the factors behind these unmet key results, we initiated a survey.
The survey revealed that the majority of employees have successfully adopted new sustainable practices in their lives and were honestly tracking their habits daily. We also identified areas for improvement, such as breaking down some actions into smaller, more digestible tasks and reducing the number of clicks within each action.
Moreover, respondents expressed a desire for measurable metrics, such as CO2e reductions, and tangible figures like the amount of digital data cleared, the number of unsubscribed and deleted emails.
This feedback motivated our team to act. We began developing prototypes and conducting user tests, as Ailuna is committed to sustainable product development. We believe that testing ideas on real users before committing additional resources to feature development is the most sustainable way to develop a digital product.
We’re thrilled to unveil an exciting addition to our upcoming roadmap: CO2e impact tracking, forecasting, and reporting. This innovative feature is designed to empower employees by providing them with insights into the environmental significance of their actions and newly adopted habits. Furthermore, organisations will gain the capability to monitor and report the impact of workforce actions, contributing to their Scope 3 emissions metrics.
Ailuna remains committed to our mission of transforming workplaces into hubs of eco-friendly productivity and well-being, fostering a greener, healthier, and more sustainable world for all.
