Did You Know?

  • Eating a veggie diet means 2.5 x less carbon emissions than a meat diet. SOURCE: Vegetarian Society
  • Plant-based proteins such as peas, lentils and beans use 20 times less land and emit 20 times less greenhouse gas emissions per gram of edible protein than beef. SOURCE: World Resources Institute
  • A 4oz cheeseburger has approximately the same carbon emissions as driving six miles in an average UK car, but a 4oz bean burger is equivalent to just ⅔ of a mile. SOURCE: How Bad Are Bananas
